Energy & Data Monitoring

Energy and Data Monitoring Systems

There are two main reasons for installing an energy monitoring system.

1. Financial Savings

2. Environmental Considerations

Installing a meter will not save energy on its own. There must also be a system in place to ensure periodic readings of the meter. An automatic system that reads meters periodically and provides these readings to all those who are responsible for saving energy and reducing CO2 emissions is the best solution.

Every time a Kilowatt of energy is saved there is a corresponding reduction in CO2 emissions.

Energy saving action must be carried out as a result as the information provided by the meter reading system for it to be of any benefit. For example; a meter that identifies that lights are left on continuously when in fact they need to be on for only 40% of the week would only have been of benefit if action had been taken to turn the lights off for 60% of the week.

An effective energy monitoring system provides the information required and makes it easy to identify waste and also makes it easy to make substantial savings in energy costs and CO2 emissions.
